Armenian Music Lecture and Dinner | Komitas and the Echo of a Vanished World
Join us on April 28th at 6:15pm for a special evening featuring renowned pianist, composer, and lecturer Dr. Vatché Mankerian, who will present on the enduring role of Komitas' music during and after the Armenian Genocide. Through his work collecting, preserving, and transforming Armenian folk melodies, Komitas became a vital guardian of Armenian cultural memory in the face of loss and displacement.
Before the lecture at 6:15pm, guests are invited to enjoy traditional Armenian manti and gather in community starting at 5:30pm. This event will be taking place at Dabney Lounge and Garden and is open to both the Caltech community and the broader public. We warmly welcome both Caltech and non-Caltech guests! RSVP here.
