Inspired by the artist Alexander Calder, and winners of the Coleman-Saunderson Prize in 2002 while students at USC, the Quartet has become known for brilliant thematic programming. "Only the stars are the limit, as the Calder takes its place as one of America's most satisfying, and most enterprising, quartets." (Mark Swed in the Los Angeles Times)
