Caltech-Occidental Concert Band

The Caltech-Occidental Symphony presents a free concert featuring guest conductor Sharon Lavery, Co-Conductor of the USC Thornton Wind Ensemble, as well as the Loma Linda Academy Wind Symphony, directed by Giovanni Santos.
Music selections include: "Italian Polka" by Sergei Rachmaninoff, arranged by Lucas; Eric Whitacre's "Sleep;" Donald Grantham's "Sweet Canaan" from Spangled Heavens; Frank Ticheli's "Sanctuary;" and the second movement of David Maslanka's "Give Us This Day."
The band will also perform in Caltech's Ramo Auditorium on Friday, November 21st at 8:00 p.m. The Friday program will be shared with the Blair High School Concert Band directed by Michael Birnbryer.
Both concerts are free, with no tickets or reservations required, but early arrival is recommended.
