CGSC Industry Seminar
CGSC is excited to host our annual Industry Seminar on Friday, April 24, featuring Dr. Kevin Campos (Vice President, Process R&D at Merck). The seminar will take place from 4-5 pm in B122 Gates Annex (Linus Pauling Lecture Hall). There will be refreshments served at 3:30 pm before the seminar.
Talk: "Inventing for Life at Merck"
Bio: Dr. Kevin Campos received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in 1993. In 1999, he obtained his PhD from Professor David A. Evans at Harvard University. He then joined the Department of Process Research at Merck in 1999, and over the last 27 years, he has established himself as a leader in both drug discovery and development and an advocate for scientific and cultural excellence. He is currently Vice President and Head of Process Research and Development at Merck, responsible for shepherding programs across all modalities from Discovery to Commercial Filing. Under his leadership, commercial manufacturing processes for a total of 15 novel products have been launched, including WELIREG™, LYFNUA™, LAGEVRIO™, WINREVAIR™, CAPVAXIVE™, and ENFLONSIA™.
