  • Public Event
Presented By: Caltech Committee on Institute Programs

Inside Planet Earth gives viewers a unique opportunity to explore the thousands of miles of inaccessible rock and metal, searing heat, and crushing pressure below the Earth's surface. The Earth is like an onion, divided into layers and each layer plays a vital role in making the world a place where life can survive. A Discovery Channel production.

This stunning high-definition movie will serve as the springboard for a lively discussion about the science behind the beauty and wonder of nature.

Tim Raub, a Graduate Student in Geology and Geochemistry at Caltech, will introduce the film and guide the post-screening discussion.

This event is made possible through Caltech's participation in the CineMuse Network.

Recommended for ages 8 and up.
