Collinear Corrections to the Cachazo-Strominger Soft Theorem
Sruthi Narayanan,
Perimeter Institute,
Soft theorems describe the behavior of scattering amplitudes when one or several external particles are taken to be energetically soft. In this talk I will motivate studying the sub-subleading soft graviton theorem, originally elucidated by Cachazo and Strominger, with a basic discussion of celestial holography and the conserved charges associated with asymptotic symmetries. I will then demonstrate that consistency between the conserved charges and the original amplitudes analysis via a BCFW expansion requires a careful treatment of collinear singularities in the amplitude.
The talk is in 469 Lauritsen.
