Soft Algebras in AdS4 from Lightray Operators in CFT3
Ahmed Sheta, Harvard University,

In this talk, I will show that any CFT3 has infinite-dimensional algebras associated with conserved currents and the stress tensor of the CFT. These are the so-called S and w algebras. For holographic CFTs, these algebras are discovered by generalizing the soft algebras of 4d flat space to AdS4. In particular, the leading soft generator maps to the light-transform of the conserved current in the CFT3, and the rest of the tower can be constructed as the 3d conformal descendants of the leading operator. More generally, these algebras can be understood purely from the CFT3 perspective as the algebra of the lightray operator of the conserved current, along with its conformal descendants.
