Intermediate Cha Cha and Jive Dance Class
This is the first of four weeks of International Cha Cha (1st hour) and International Jive (2nd hour). Bronze and silver syllabus will be covered. This series will be followed by four weeks of standard ballroom classes.
About the instructors:
Sebastian Costa and Amanda Garner are an Australia-based couple who have danced together for 3 years. They have won many competition titles and are currently Australian Professional Latin-American finalists. Sebastian and Amanda have trained with various former and current world champions which include Johan and Nadia Eftedal, Franco Formica, Juuka Haapalainen and Sirpa Sutari, just to name a few. They are currently instructors at Nadia Eftedal's dance studio.
Amanda was on two seasons of the Australian version of 'Dancing with the Stars'. She and celebrity partner, Sunrise weatherman Grant Denyer, were the champions of season 4. Amanda was also invited to appear on 'Dancing with the Stars' in Turkey.
Sebastian and Amanda have performed in Jason Gilkinson s 'BURN THE FLOOR' stage show China Tour and in the USA, as well at Grosvenor House London, Sportsgirl Fashion Week Melbourne, and the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing London.
Cost:
- $4 per class or $15/series (4 weeks) in advance for Caltech students (with ID).
- $8 per class or $30/series (4 weeks) in advance for Caltech affiliates and alumni and for students of other universities (with ID).
- $12 per class or $45/series (4 weeks) in advance for all others.
Prerequisites:
Students should have previous knowledge on the Bronze figures of these dances.
