Across Fault Lines: My Summer in Iceland - By Natalia Hernandez.
Lunch Provided
Natalia spent the summer in Iceland studying dormant volcanoes and modeling caldera collapses. But this summer taught her so much more than programming and geophysics. She learned to craft friendships, explore fearlessly, and live independently. In the end, the greatest lesson she learned was gratitude. Natalia is a third-year undergraduate studying geological and planetary sciences at Caltech, with a special interest in geophysics

My Summer in Zurich: A Different Pace in the Academic Life - By Nerissa Finnen.
Last summer, Nerissa participated in Caltech's SURF programs to gain an understanding of the research process in her field, circuit design. It has been an eye-opening experience about performing science in a different environment for Nerissa. She also spent her free time exploring Switzerland's natural beauty and visiting other neighboring countries. Nerissa is a fourth-year undergraduate at Caltech, studying electrical engineering with a concentration in circuit design.
