Joselyn & Don and The Odd Birds
- Public Event
About this event
Featuring California-based artists, Joselyn & Don and The Odd Birds, the next concert with the Pasadena Folk Music Society on September 20 is its first shared concert.
About Joselyn & Don
Respected publications like Americana UK, Twangville, Americana Highways and others praise Joselyn Wilkinson's "one-of-a-kind voice," Don Barrozo's "fluid guitar work" and the "rich, lyrical, wild, spiritual imagery" of their music. They will release a new album this fall featuring playing by longtime Jackson Browne band members Mauricio "Fritz" Lewak (drums), Bob Glaub (bass) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel).
About The Odd Birds
Ron Grigsby and Jennifer Moraca write and play music about connections, both lost and found, with an authentic and intimate sound. They have toured throughout the US and Europe and have released two critically acclaimed albums, "Better Days" and "Tremolo Heart". "Melding folk, country and Americana into a tasty, affable gumbo, The Odd Birds offer up likable tunes with an imaginative sound…If you're a fan of well-crafted vocal harmonies and jangly rhythms, The Odd Birds will delight with their earthy sentiment and seasoned musicianship." –Brian M. Owens, Metronome Magazine (Boston)
