Presented By: Caltech Folk Music Society

Katy Moffatt grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and you can hear that in her voice. She is an outstanding singer and songwriter who covers that territory in the margins between folk and country music, with bold forays into Western and blues, as well. She has written songs such as this Heart Stops at Railway Crosses and Waling on the Moon, which are perfect for her soulful vocals. She also has a passion for writing about people and history. She has performed and written songs with  Tom Russell and is currently working on a project with Rosie Flores.
