13th June Wednesday, 8 pm (7.30 for snacks).

Kyle Dempster is a coffee shop owner in Salt Lake city, who purchased his favorite community hangout after surviving a most desperate 24 day solo climb in Pakistan.

He is also a Piolet d'Or winning expedition alpinist. He is well known for some most daring climbs, including Mt. Edgar (which killed Johnny Copp, Micah Dash and Wade Johnson in 2009).

The Caltech Alpine Club, with support from the American Alpine Club southwest section is hosting this event for free (no tickets required); there will be snacks, drinks, good company, and an awesome talk!
