LA River CleanUp 2012

Come clean the LA River! The event will take place at Steelhead Park from 9 AM to 12 Noon on April 28th (http://folar.org/?page_id=384). We will provide gloves, trash bags and other tools to clean the site. There will be snacks and drinks on site as well as a a free t-shirt or bag for every volunteer and a raffle at the end of the clean up with loads of prizes. In addition, a few select volunteers can also help sort trash. The data will be included in a FoLAR report that will influence future restoration efforts along the river. This event is sponsored by Caltech GSC and Friends of the LA River. All members of the Caltech community and guests are welcome. Before the event, please be sure to print and fill out the waiver form found here: http://folar.org/wp-contentuploads/2012/03/river-cleanup-waiver-all-ages.pdf Make sure to wear sunscreen, and clothes that can get dirty.
