Love Data Week: Managing and Sharing Large Data Files with CaltechDATA

Join this workshop as part of UC #LoveData Week to learn about the new enhancements to CaltechDATA that allow us to efficiently distribute data from the gigabyte all the way to the petabyte scale.

We'll discuss best practices for managing large data collections and how Open Storage Network storage can be utilized to stage data as you prepare it for public access.

There will be a demonstration of the new command line interface for creating CaltechDATA records and transferring files which can make it even easier to share data.

We'll also discuss what you should include in your proposal for a data management plan if you're doing data-intensive research at Caltech.
