The aesthetic rewards of chamber music transcend any adversity. Coleman veterans Mark Kaplan, violin, and Colin Carr, cello, have joined with pianist Yael Weiss to establish Sequenza literally "following" the renowned trio with the late David Golub. Of this new incarnation, Mark Kaplan has written, "Yael, a protégé of Leon Fleisher and Richard Goode, is known both for her solo and chamber music performances, and with her we are once again discovering new perspectives and fresh wonders in the music we play."

Program:

  • Debussy: Piano Trio in G Major
  • Ravel: Trio in A minor for violin, cello, and piano
  • Beethoven: Piano Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 97 "Archduke"

This performance is sponsored by Sam and Cynthia Coleman.
